I will not let love and truth leave me;
Proverbs 3:3
I will bind them around my neck
and write them on the tablet of my heart.
What TRUE LOVE is:
God’s love, which should be practiced and seen in us (those in Christ):
Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy;
1 Corinthians 13:4–8
love does not boast, it is not arrogant,
it does not behave rudely; it does not seek its own,
it is not provoked, it keeps no record of wrongs;
it does not rejoice in unrighteousness but
rejoices with the truth;
it bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
WALK IN LOVE
This is the message we heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. The one who does not love abides in death. By this we know love, that Christ laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1 John 3:11, 14, 16)
We should love one another, for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:7–8)
We must let brotherly love continue. (Hebrews 13:1)
The test for true love in our life:
We love, because God first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And we have this commandment from Him: that the one who loves God must also love his brother. (1 John 4:19–21)
Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. (1 Corinthians 8:1)
