You are God, the faithful God who keeps Your gracious covenant of loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love You and keep Your commands. But You directly pays back to their faces and destroys those who hate You. You do not hesitate to pay back directly the one who hates You.

You are slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, forgiving iniquity and rebellion. But You do not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generation. The whole earth is filled with the Your glory!
